Knitting and what not

The Ampersand sweaters are finally (mostly) done! A little blocking, a couple of ends need to be weaved in, and they are complete. These are based on the pattern from unionpearl which I found on Ravelry. I say based on, because they are clearly more talented than I and I had to adapt the pattern to meet my lazy knitting process. Their flickr picture of the ampersand is here.  A couple of notes:

All are in cotton, although the sizes of each sweater differs because of yarn type, needle, my ability to pay attention to the directions, etc.

Also – the finishing part is my least favorite and since these were five pieces that needed to be sewn together – they got a little messier each time something else was “sewn” together. :o) oh well.

There are a couple – where I tried a different pattern, with the arms sewn as part of the sweater. Not really happy about the results, but it’s not like you are actually going to wear them, so you know. Enjoy, toss, give to a kid for their doll or hang on a tree. They are yours.  xo

Sweaters belong to (from top middle b/w: @kcecelia, @jendeaderick, bright orange (actually crochet thread) belong to @hippiechick68 and @UffishL, bottom right (blk/red) @wrightallison, then @jayhawk100, second b/w @suemaden, MN Twins – @azsky13, periwinkle brown for @Girlssentaway. Brown one ?? I don’t know. Who did I forget?

    Caroline!

These sweaters are beyond beautiful! I love, love, love mine, and I love you for doing it. I will frame my teensy black & white ampersand sweater, and put it on my wall to gaze at with admiration for the rest of my days.

Thank you for making this for me. Such gestures of kindness mean everything.

    xox.

These are great! I had forgotten you were doing the Twins one for me. A good omen you finished before the playoffs. 🙂
